What to expect

We have had a lot of questions about the shows and some misconceptions too, hopefully we can clear both up here:
Each show is at least 2 hours long and will contain at least 8 battles, these can be one on one or melee's.
Both heavyweight and featherweight will battle it out for a place in Sundays Grand final.
Sunday will have semi finals and the Grand final battles for both.
At the end of Sundays Final there is usually time for the grand free for all in the arena where every robot, still able, fights to the last one standing! Sometimes there are even 2 of these one for the heavyweights one for the feathers, we cannot predict each show exactly as each show is different.
Between battles while the arena is cleared and checked and the roboteers get ready for the next battle you can expect entertainment, this again varies show by show, this year we have Hollywood heroes joining us and Stormtroopers to ensure good behaviour. There are also rumours of a Dalek being seen around Brentwood so I hope any badly behaved children do not get 'exterminated'
We have remote controlled chairs and wheelybins and many other interactive entertainments for you between battles.
This is also a good time to approach the barrier and watch the roboteers at work in the pits - but please remember not to cross the barrier this is there for your own safety, you can collect autographs in the souvenir program too.
Don't forget to say hi to the team if you see us about!
This year for the first time we have a professional photographer on site who will take a picture of you with a static display, which will be given to you in a souvenir presentation frame the cost for this will be approximately £3.50
Merchandising tables and refreshments will also be available at any time during the show.
Feel free to take photographs of your child or of the robots, video cameras are also permitted.
Please DO expect loud bangs and crashes - these robots are huge - and even without the pyrotechnics we also use can be very loud indeed!
The best way to get an idea of the shows is to press play on the movie on the front page or look through the stills on the PICTURES page.
We hope this answers some of the frequently asked questions, if you have a question not answered here you can click the contact button on the left and send us an email or click comments here and leave your question we will try to answer as soon as possible.

4 days to go!

We had a great weekend down at Sainsburys in Brentwood this weekend with a lot of enthusiasm shown by staff and customers.
We would like to thank the people at Sainsburys for making it such a success.

On the way back I stopped off at Rapid to collect the prizes for the roboteers - WOW! is all I can say, Rapid have come up with a wonderful selection including a digital camera, pressure washer and lots more, plus gift certificates for all winners.

Rapids' photographer,Lawrence Woolston, was on hand to record the event as you can see from the brilliant pictures here.

Visit www.rapidonline.com to see the full catalogue.

All in all its been a fantastic build up with a lot of help from Brentwood and their PR team - we look forward to seeing you at the weekend.

There is no booking fee for tickets you can order by phone (01277 262616), on-line or of course on the door, see you there!

Robot sign ups

The Roboteers are gearing up to join us at Brentwood and looking through our partners site Roaming Robots I found a list of the Robots already signed up and thought I would pass this on to you.
The Roboteers have to sign up through the Roaming Robots site and when they do they are added to the list on the events notification page so keep an eye on it and view the Stats about each robot you will see at Brentwood this year by looking up the Events page.
